Organic butter, organic sugar, organic flour, cream, organic eggs, baking powder, salt, organic dates, organic orange zest.

Storage & Handling

This product is perishable and ships chilled.

Keep frozen until baking. Pre-heat your oven to 375°. For convection ovens, lower the given temperature to 350°. If your pastries brown too quickly, cover them with a loose sheet of foil. We include parchment sheets with each shipment and recommend that you use them to line your baking tray. For a golden brown crust, brush the dough with cream, milk, or an egg-wash. Sweet pastries may be sprinkled with sugar if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

This Orange and Date Scone is light and crumbly on the outside, but soft on the inside, and has a lovely floral quality that pairs perfectly with your favorite teas. Enhance the orange flavor of this scone with a dab of our Organic Navel Orange Marmalade to complete your meal.

This product is perishable and will arrive chilled in a cardboard cooler for pick-up at the CSA site. All add-on items are labeled with your name on the side and the product is listed on the label. If you order multiple items, you may have more than one add-on box. We REUSE our boxes and packing materials so please return these to your pick-up location. Keep frozen until baking. Comes with baking instructions.
