Ingredients

Shortbread: Organic flour, organic butter (organic pasteurized cream), organic sugar, organic eggs, baking powder, vanilla extract, organic confectioners' sugar (organic sugar, organic tapioca starch), organic orange zest, salt.

Apricot Filling: Organic Frog Hollow Apricot Conserve (organic apricots, organic sugar, ascorbic acid, citric acid).

Plum-Blueberry Filling: Organic Frog Hollow Plum-Blueberry Conserve (organic plums, organic blueberries, organic sugar, ascorbic acid, citric acid).

Nectarine-Plum Filling: Organic Frog Hollow Nectarine-Plum Conserve (organic nectarines, organic plums, organic sugar, ascorbic acid, citric acid).

Our Process

The Hungarians know this delectable pastry as "omlos teasutemeny," but we know it as a delicious and flavorful treat that is hard to resist! Chef Becky uses a special technique to achieve the light and crumbly texture of the shortbread. She freezes the dough and then grates it, giving it a delicate texture that perfectly envelops our organic fruit conserves. The Hungarian Shortbread pairs excellently with a cup of coffee or tea for an elegant breakfast or a sweet mid-afternoon snack. Each round comes wrapped in tissue and packaged in a reusable gold tin, making it a wonderful and tasty gift.

We have three different flavors - apricot, plum-blueberry, and nectarine-plum! You'll receive one flavor based on availability. Please leave us a note if you want a certain flavor, and we will try to accommodate you if we have it available.

This product is delivered in a separate box from your CSA share. All add-on items are labeled with your name on the side and the product is listed on the label. If you order multiple items, you may have more than one add-on box. We REUSE our boxes and packing materials so please return these to your pick-up location.
