Pastry Dough: Organic flour, organic butter, water, organic sugar, salt.

Filling: Organic leeks, Portobello mushrooms, Shiitake mushrooms, organic butter, cream, goat cheese, organic olive oil, salt.

Manufactured on equipment that processes milk, eggs, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, and seeds. ***Known allergen ingredients.

Storage & Handling

This product is perishable and ships frozen.

Keep frozen until baking. Pre-heat your oven to 400°. For convection ovens, lower the given temperature to 375°. If your pastries brown too quickly, cover them with a loose sheet of foil. We include parchment sheets with each shipment and recommend that you use them to line your baking tray. For a golden brown crust, brush the dough with cream, milk, or an egg-wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Our Process

Chef Becky sautés a mix of organic leeks and Portobello and Shiitake mushrooms in butter and olive oil to create the filling for these flavorful and flaky empanadas. A hint of goat cheese adds just the right creaminess and tanginess to create a distinctively delicious flavor you will love. that takes these empanadas to a whole new level. This savory treat makes an easy snack or meal that is ready in minutes. Just take them out of the package, bake, and enjoy them fresh from the oven!

This product is perishable and will be kept frozen in an insulated cardboard cooler for pick-up at the CSA site. All add-on items are labeled with your name on the side and the product is listed on the label. If you order multiple items, you may have more than one add-on box. We REUSE our boxes and packing materials so please return these to your pick-up location. Keep frozen until baking. Comes with baking instructions.
