Filling: Organic apples, organic sugar, cider vinegar, organic flour, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg.

Storage & Handling

This product is perishable and ships chilled.

Keep frozen until baking. Pre-heat your oven to 400°. For convection ovens, lower the given temperature to 375°. If your pastries brown too quickly, cover them with a loose sheet of foil. We include parchment sheets with each shipment and recommend that you use them to line your baking tray. For a golden brown crust, brush the dough with cream, milk, or an egg-wash. Sweet pastries may be sprinkled with sugar if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Our Process

The Frog Hollow kitchen slices up crisp, sweet, and tart organic apples by hand and sprinkles them with warm spices before placing this delicious mixture inside of a buttery, golden pastry. Each Apple Turnover is a tasty handheld treat that is so easy to prepare - perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast! With a likeness to an individual-sized apple pie, try topping your turnovers with vanilla ice cream or whipped sweet cream for an extra special dessert experience.

This product is perishable and will arrive chilled in a cardboard cooler for pick-up at the CSA site. All add-on items are labeled with your name on the side and the product is listed on the label. If you order multiple items, you may have more than one add-on box. We REUSE our boxes and packing materials so please return these to your pick-up location. Keep frozen until baking. Comes with baking instructions.
